General
Guarantees 100% compliance with all relevant local legislation (e.g.: statutory accounting standards, tax law, civil law) and internal group accounting guidelines
Apply IFRS while overseeing all controllership activities in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure GL accounts are accurately stated and substantiated
Assures timely submission of accurate financial information to all stakeholders (e.g.: tax authorities, other local authorities)
Supports the Accounting Manager in proactively managing the interim and year end audit process, preparing audit documentation, process and reports.
While maintaining quality, continuously drives efficiency by streamlining processes (within Accounting and beyond Accounting) and the use of available tools
Ensures that the accounting operations are fully integrated from a process, systems and control perspective
Supports the Accounting Manager in establishing an effective tax management in cooperation with the tax specialists in HQ and external tax advisorsInternal Control
Observes the compliance of the Policies and Procedures established in the company, and if needed propose the creation or update of these,
Participates in internal control testing and prepares relevant documentation
Reviews P&L Reports to ensure the information is accurate and consist with the support documentation presented and aligned with the Local Policies
Constant work with all the other areas of the company in order to establish routines to prevent and mitigate any riskBookkeeping
Maintains the fixed asset register and supervises the asset accounting in the fixed asset ledger
Performs monthly close analysis deviation of actuals against the current revised estimate budget
Controls the accounts payable ledger and the procure to pay process
Performs banks reconciliation and supervise execution and reconciliation of the petty cash
Ensures correct master data management and records.
Guarantees the timely and accurate reporting to local authorities
Prepares and posts journal vouchers for accounting transactionsPeriod Closing
Responsible for the timely compilation of the monthly and annual closings including the communication of the closing timetable within the organization
Carries out depreciation runs, posts all accrual and deferral entries as well as revaluations, write offs and provisions
Reconciles all clearing and intern company accounts
Carries out any other period closing postings
Support Accounting Manager to Prepare the annual statutory financial statements
Conducts a thorough review of all monthly reports and financial statements prior to the submission to HQ or authorities in order to make corrections if needed
Your experience includes:(proven performance in)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar organization, Internal/External audit or related large accounting/finance experience.
Vast knowledge of all local tax regulations, local GAAP and IFRS
Capable of communicating precisely, effectively and convincingly based on facts with internal and external stakeholders
IT literate and SAP knowledge
A structured and well organized individual
Must be self-motivated, self directed and be able to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment
Holds a relevant accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent)
English - fluent
