Panamá, Provincia de PanamáRole Responsibilities The Paralegal Advisor is responsible for assisting attorneys in a variety of legal business pertaining to the organization. Acts as liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organizations and in-house team members. Performs administrative support and secretarial duties for a department or group. Prepares correspondence, presentations, and reports. Maintains confidential records and information. May collect and summarize legal research and may assemble proofs and edit drafts of contracts, leases, licenses and insurance policies. May Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate entities, as required.
Its responsibilities typically may also include all or a subset of the below:
Perform heavy legal-related administrative activities
Management of sales contracts signature process
Resolves inquiries and requests
Support with schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings and related arrangements
Tracks operational data in databases, and other reporting metrics
Uses software tools to compile data into presentation format
Independently prepare presentations and recurring reports
Coordinates special projects and department activities
Coordinates office functions with other departments
Conducts legal and factual research, and resolves basic routine legal questions under the direction of an attorney
Drafts basic legal documents under direction of an attorney, such as letters, contracts, etc.
Maintains calendar of legal occurrences, and notifies attorneys of events that demand attention
Drafts reports indicating the status of pending assignments or matters
Advises company personnel on routine legal procedures and requirements
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Sense of urgency
Look for opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
Typically requires 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree
Problem solving skills is a must
Experience in a IT and/or multinational company is a plus.
Experience working as admin/paralegal of legal departments is a plus.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Native in Spanish and fluency in English. Portuguese is a plus.
Detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage several tasks at once with limited supervision.
Ability to support department initiatives
Ability to remain calm in busy and stressful situations.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. SharePoint knowledge is a plus.
