We are looking for Building Supervisor for our Project Cobre Panama
Key Accountabilities and Challenges
Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama
Through personal standards, maintain an emphasis on safety, environmental responsibility and operational responsibility
Provide direct supervision to a multi-disciplinary team of all trades associated with conducting building maintenance and construction, builders, carpenters, plumbers, grounds maintenance and waste collection.
Personnel monitoring, control, allocation of daily tasks and scheduling for vacation times.
Identify personnel training requirements and worker skills required to complete current and future tasks.
Work closely with the planning team to ensure work schedules and resources are aligned to complete the work in an efficient manner.
Responsible for ensuring all work is performed to the set standard of the company and compliant with all building regulations and industry best practice standards.
Participate in continuous improvement projects, identify opportunities and analysis for areas to improve infrastructure performance.
Assist with ordering and securing resources for maintenance work including liaising with suppliers
Prioritising scheduled and un-scheduled workflow ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of the company
Maintain the work order system within the ERP system
Raise stock and purchase requisitions
Develop and maintain standard work scopes, parts material lists and other support documents used for maintenance activities
Promoting a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable safety standards
Provide technical support for maintenance personnel on a daily basis to maximize effectiveness, efficiencies and optimize costs
Identify, participate in and promote continuous improvement processes
Implement FQM Way culture across the team – “Smarter, Bolder, Driven, Together”
Liaising with peers and colleagues to enable the above
Know and comply with the Safety and Occupational Health Regulations in Mining, Internal Work Rules, Code of Ethics and Conduct, Loss Prevention Manual

Education
Building qualification and or related Trade Certificate
10+ years industry experience in a building maintenance or construction
Skills
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Good working knowledge of the building codes and industry standards for infrastructure requirements
Knowledge and technical competence in performing varied electrical and instrumental maintenance services of buildings, facilities, infrastructure, equipment and machinery, pipe lines and others related to the mining industry
Skill to understand and analyse maintenance performance indicators (KPIs)
Knowledge in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP)
Ability to work within a team environment
Team focus
Driver's license
Experience
Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large enterprise systems
Experienced in the use of maintenance management systems
Language
Fluency in Spanish is required with English language competency highly regarded
