Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist / Eglin AFB, FL - Located approximately 6 miles from Destin/Fort Walton Beach The performance hours are 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 0630-1730. 24/hr on-call for approximately 2-5 days per month, including one weekend per month. CRNA should meet the following requirement: - Active/unrestricted license in one of the fifty states (No FL license required due to working on a military base) - BLS/ACLS/PALS Certifications through American Heart or Red Cross - MSN or DNP as a CRNA - 6 months recent experience within the past 12 months, and have a total of 36 months CRNA practice experience as an independent, unsupervised practitioner The CRNA shall perform a full range and spectrum of comprehensive specialty care on site at the MTF. Workload includes the evaluation and treatment of emergent, urgent, and non-emergent patients ranging in age as young as infant to over 65 years. The CRNA actually clinical activity will be a function of the Commander/Commanding Officer's clinical privileging process and the overall demand for primary care. The Anesthesiology Department schedules routine workload. Primary workload is a result of surgical cases scheduled through the MTF's surgical scheduling office. The CRNA shall refer patients to staff specialists for consultative opinions and continuation of care and shall see the patients of other staff health care providers who have been referred for consultation and treatment. The CRNA will practice within the guidelines set by the credentialing office of the 96 MDG and the Medical Director. The CRNA's productivity is expected to be comparable to that of the other civilian and military. Expected level of workload is between four to six surgical cases per day, but not less than the average of other department CRNAs. CRNA shall provide full scope and range of anesthesia care for in-patient and out-patient procedures; including, but not limited to full care for cases specializing in pediatrics, OB/GYN, ENT, orthopedics, urology, ophthalmology, general surgery, vascular and bariatric surgery.
