The objective of t he Claims Support Assistant will support the EPIC Claims department by following up on the outstanding claims documents from the Insured, the provider of service, and the Client. Handle both inbound and outbound calls for EPIC Claims Contact the Insureds by email, fax, or phone and request outstanding/missing claims documents required to process claims. Documents include authorization form, claim form, proof of departure, proof of payment, etc. Claims Inquiry representative will liaise with the Claims examiners accordingly while handling calls and requesting claim documents Make outbound calls, send emails, and fax documents to facilities to request itemized invoices, and medical records, and verify charges from providers. Answer calls from Insured, facilities and assist them with their inquiry. For example, provide the status of a claim based on a review of the notes on the claim file. After the call, follow up with the Claims examiner and advise them of the outcome of the call. The representative will adhere to the department service standards for all inbound and outbound calls Provide administrative and clerical support to the EPIC Claims team when required - enter invoices and upload documents from various sources. Collaborate with other team members to ensure quick resolution of cases/situations.
Follow up on claims and communicate with insureds, agents, and Medical Providers when necessary.
