Job Title Collections Specialist - Dispute Job Description In this role, you have the opportunity toThe Collections Dispute Specialist will support the Dispute, Cash Applications, and Collection team with customer inquiries. Responsible for determining the root cause for disputes, understanding the collections process end to end, and resolving issues that consists of unpaid invoices and deductions/short payments in a timely manner.
Organize, analyze, resolve disputed/deducted billing issues that impact the collection process, credit and rebill when necessary, effectively convey via verbal or written communication summary of root cause, conclusion and resolution of issues that are impacting the collection process.
Assist with customer inquiries relating to payment claims, billing issues, providing constructive feedback to internal and external customers.
Independently set priorities, overcome challenges, and obstacles by taking responsibility to make decisions to drive goals/assignments to completion.
Build strong relationships with the collection team, contracts departments, customer service, and sales organization collaborating on resolution of issues and improve ways of working.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Strong collections background
Analysis and Communication skills
Knowledge of accounting principles
SAP or similar ERP accounting application experience, preferred.
Intermediate Excel knowledge (Vlookup and pivot tables)
Understanding of PCI (payment card industry) Sox compliance (internal control standards) in a collections environment preferred
Process improvement knowledge (Lean), preferred
