We're looking for passionate people to join our team as we continue leading the industry over our next 100 years.Primary Function The Customer Information Researcher will leverage standardized research processes to enhance Grainger's understanding of our customers.
This role will work collaboratively with Customer Information Analysts, Process Engineers, Technology Developers, and Business Leaders to eliminate process waste, leverage scale opportunities, optimize activities, and automate routine work.
By making actionable customer information available, we help Grainger market, sell, and deliver the best products and solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Actively curate and supplement customer information for all of Grainger, primarily through online research, with an emphasis on identifying qualified prospects and accurately segmenting Grainger's current customers.
Contribute to development and continuous improvement of standard research processes.
Execute processes that create customer information, e.g., conducting online research on customers to confirm which industry a location is in.
Contribute to analysis – helping Grainger get to know our customers and how we can fulfill their MRO needs Present and share work with peers.
Develop a deep understanding of the US MRO market – what customers exist in which industries, and how attractive are they to Grainger?
Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree preferred.
0-3 years post-undergraduate experience.
Intense curiosity about Grainger's customers and business – the MRO market must be a genuine source of interest for a candidate to thrive in the role.
Advanced computer skills with proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite.
Desire to develop additional technical and quantitative skills.
Clear written and visual communication.
Thorough, thoughtful online research.
