Maersk is looking a proactive Financial Service Manager to join our team in Panama. In this position you will work as a member of the LAMLOC Finance Department, reporting to the Regional CFO. Is responsible to effectively communicate with our suppliers. The Financial Services Manager works closely with Procurement and the GSC to optimize company’s working capital but also to take care of ‘our name’ and ensures that suppliers are paid in accordance to the agreed terms. This is a leader of others role.This position is part of the Liner Operations Center for Latin America. LAMLOC is responsible for vessel schedules, allocation management, VSA coordination, port productivity, procuring and controlling Container Yard, Port Expenses and Foreign Feeder costs, load and discharge processes, equipment positioning and evacuation. The LAMLOC is a highly international environment with offices in various locations spread over Latin America, with the head office being based in Panama City

Key responsibilities
Assist the CFO overseeing the day-to-day GSC-LOC collaboration.Challenge and plan changes to existing procedures/practices.Engage with Region/Cluster teams as needed regarding GSC related issues.Build collaborative working relationship with GSC.Understand vendor requirements and their different complexities (invoicing).
We are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.2+ years of relevant experience in leadership of teamsAdvance English level (Above 85% of fluency)Intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookSAP knowledge is a plusExceptional leadership skills with the ability to the ability to delegate, inspire and communicate effectively.Strong stake holder management with the ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a multicultural environmentProactive problem solver with proven experience working independently to identify solutions and develop preventative measuresAbility to make decisions under pressure as well as demonstrate excellent reasoning and analytical skills is essential.
