"Job description: Purpose Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Electrical Foreman is responsible for the effective and efficient management, maintenance and safe operation of the equipment and personnel in the High Voltage / Medium Voltage Electrical section of Mine Maintenance
- Engineering Key Accountabilities and Challenges · Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama. · Ensure compliance of personnel to standard safe working procedures and actively participate in HSE initiatives. · Identify, eliminate, mitigate and/or control any electrical safety condition. · Ensure electrically safe work Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best industry practices are utilised within area of responsibility. · Ensure compliance to industry best practices for Lock Out Tag Out safe procedures; · Oversee and lead a team of electricians to consistently deliver and exceed the main KPIs of timely maintenance and repairs using best practice maintenance techniques and procedures on electrical distribution systems & mine cables to ensure equipment downtime is minimised and performance optimized. · Undertake daily corrective actions through formal workplace inspections. · Supervise and participate in planned and breakdown maintenance plans on all electrical systems. · Lead and direct the personnel in your team in the execution of daily work activities ensuring that proper safety practices are followed. · In conjunction with the Electrical Supervisor manage daily workload priorities based on equipment and production requirements. · Drive the team’s focus to achieve equipment availability targets through efficiencies. · Ensure works order compliance for all activities undertaken by the team. · Prepare and maintain daily records and reports regarding work performed including equipment down times and issues. · Read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, single line diagrams, and any other vendor supplied technical information, included but not limited to installation, operation and maintenance manuals. · Maintains current knowledge of equipment and materials through self-study and training. · Transmit and explain work orders; revise order based on material needs or modifications to assigned work due to material delays or other problems. · Order parts and recover from onsite warehouses. · Promote a ‘team' environment within the shift team of operations personnel. · Conduct regular performance feedback with team members to promote areas for improvement and follow up. · Promote the FQM Way culture across the team

Skills, Knowledge & Experience · Education · Completion of secondary school with an Electrical certification from a recognised institute or equivalent. · JTIA registration as General electrician, Electrical Technician or equivalent. · Skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Excellent cognitive and analytical skills for identifying maintenance corrective and preventative actions. · Proven ability to identify, analyse and understand electrical requirements. · Strong understanding of maintenance improvement and control strategies. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to analyze data and provide clear and accurate instructions. · Computer fluency is a must. · Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. · Experience · 5 years of experience in electrical work. · Excellent knowledge and experience of Electrical systems repairs and maintenance. · Excellent troubleshooting / fault analysis skills. · Knowledge in Substations operation / maintenance will be an advantage. · High level of motivation and leadership qualities. · Strong computer skills with proficiency Microsoft Excel and Word. · Proven commitment to safety and quality compliance. · Language Fluency in Spanish is required and proficiency in English highly regarded. The position is offered as Residential BIBO Work hours and rosters may vary as required by the business.
