Job description: Purpose Deliver a safe and effective scaffolding and infrastructure service across all industrial areas and buildings within the mine site. Ensure compliance with all regulations, safety requirements and industry best practices associated with the erection of scaffolding and maintenance of the infrastructure. Lead the scaffold and infrastructure team to deliver a world class service that achieve set performance standards, safety, reliability, availability and cost considerations. Key Accountabilities and Challenges · Operate within and observe all applicable laws of Panama · Through personal standards, maintain an emphasis on safety, environmental responsibility and operational responsibility · Provide direct supervision to a team of scaffolders, infrastructure and surface protection workers. · Workers monitoring, control, allocation of daily tasks according to the planned and corrective work. · Identify personnel training requirements and worker skills required to complete current and future tasks · Work closely with the planning team to ensure work schedules and resources are aligned to complete the work in an efficient manner including planned shutdowns and breakdown response · Responsible for ensuring all work is performed to the set standard of the company and compliant with all scaffolding regulations and industry best practice standards · Participate in continuous improvement projects, identify opportunities and analysis for areas to improve infrastructure performance. · Assist with ordering and securing resources for maintenance work including liaising with suppliers · Prioritising workflow ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of the company · Develop and maintain standard work scopes, material lists and other support documents used for maintenance activities · Promoting a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable safety standards · Provide technical support for scaffolding, infrastructure and surface protection personnel on a daily basis to maximize effectiveness, efficiencies and optimize costs · Identify, participate in and promote continuous improvement processes · Implement FQM Way culture across the team – “Smarter, Bolder, Driven, Together” · Liaising with peers and colleagues to enable the above · Know and comply with the Safety and Occupational Health Regulations in Mining, Internal Work Rules, Code of Ethics and Conduct, Loss Prevention Manual · The responsibilities described above are the main responsibilities of the position. The position also develops other activities that are not included in this document and the immediate supervisor is in charge of transmitting them Skills, Knowledge & Experience · Education · Technical degree desirable. · Skills · Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills · Good working knowledge of the local regulations and industry standards relating to scaffolding · Knowledge and technical competence of the processing plant and power station areas · Ability to work within a team environment · Team focus · Driver's license · Experience · 3+ years industry experience erecting scaffolding and infrastructure within the mining or large project construction fields · Language · Spanish.
