Job Description : - The Caribbean and Central America (CCA) market is a Diageo business unit that generates approx. £226.7m NSV and OP: £123.4m. The domestic markets represent aprox 70% of this NSV and FTZB 30%. It is the most profitable market in LAC both in terms of absolute operating profit and margin. 90% of our NSV is USD invoiced.
- CCA is a very dynamic market with many opportunities. Our geographical footprint covers 37 countries, where different languages are spoken and we have a population of 80m, 52m of whom are LDA+. Our model is a distributor based RTC with 57 partners. We also operate with six distributor Free Trade Zones and with two operators in the border between Mexico and the US. We also manage several co-packing partnerships throughout the region, and Panama is home to our innovation technology center and principal warehousing operations.
- The Scotch category accounts for 70% of Total NSV, predominantly playing in the Premium and Super Premium segments; Diageo share of market in Scotch varies from 45% to 75% across the region – making us the number one player.
About the role:
- Innovation is a consistent and growing source of NSV and opportunity within CCA, and is one of the major drivers of performance. Our 2022 ambition is for Innovation to drive even higher impact, ‘at-scale’ projects and become ignite in recruiting new consumers into our brands and significantly increasing our share in TBA.
- The Innovation Manager for CCA will be the project lead for innovation projects within the region’s overall pipeline. Their focus will be on 1-2 Big Bet projects as well as multiple smaller strategic opportunity projects.
- The role will focus on delivery of Gate process - Gates 1-5 and Gate 6 for M&E, and supervise projects execution with the support of Innovation Commercialization manager.
- This role must gain a deep understanding of local consumer and market dynamics in order to adequately identify innovation opportunities and manage his/her projects through the Gate process effectively
- This role requires significant project and stakeholder management, working in close partnership with LAC Innovation team, GBTs, CCA exec and our third party distributor partners
- Due to the size and differentiated realities in several markets, this role demands a strong complexity management capability as well as an individual who is motivated and resourceful
- This role exposes individuals to a wide variety of business functions from sales to marketing, supply and finance. A great opportunity to build capabilities, breadth, fine tune leadership skills and gain insight into other areas of the business.
