As internal Control Leader for Central America Region, you will maintain the tools and methodology to ensure that the internal control environment is effective and operating as designed. This includes heavy emphasis on the Information & Communication layers within the internal control framework adopted by the company. A day in the life of...
Pursue the development of effective controls by deploying continuous improvement techniques and partnering with the business to determine the appropriate number of key control activities to provide management with reasonable assurance that the internal controls over financial reporting are effective.
Drive for efficient controls through the review of processes and technical solutions available at the business level with the objective to automate the execution and monitoring of the controls as much as possible. To further develop a solution with emphasis on preventive controls (e.g. automated system) and not detective controls (e.g. reports / procedures)
Provide leadership via effective project management for the identification and deployment of changes to methodologies, concepts and tools used in support of the internal control environment. Components include fit gap analysis, business case development and justification, blueprinting/design, testing and training, deployment and the development of a sustainable support structure.
Create the necessary transparency within Nestlé to ensure that the business demonstrates the proper level of ownership (responsibility and accountability) for the effectiveness of the internal control over financial reporting framework established by the company. This includes a period risk assessment associated with various financial and business processes and the assurance that effective mitigating controls have been established where necessary and are operating effectively.
What will make you successful
Demonstrated leadership in working within cross functional and matrixed organizations.
Prior experience in Finance & Control and the functional knowledge of key business processes such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, etc.
Experience within SAP environments to leverage the knowledge of integrated systems and the development and maintenance of an internal control framework
Excellent project management and delivery skills
Highly developed leadership and influencing skills as core competencies essential for success within the role.
Cross-functional knowledge of processes and internal controls (finance related as well as manufacturing, supply chain, quality, safety, health, environment, security, regulatory, legal,... )
+4 years of experience in similar positions.
