Manufacturing Technology Engineer (MTE)

As an MTE you will be responsible for leading development and deployment of technologies in our PP Pacifico COE operations, supporting our key partner division and driving Value Realization in the LA región. You will lead major technical projects and cross-functional teams in a global manufacturing environment, supporting disruptive technology advancement, new capital investments, manufacturing scale-up, new product introductions and business transformation. As an MTE you will also:
· Develop and implement Disruptive Manufacturing Technologies with LA COE
· Lead NPI, Cap Ex, and Process Improvement projects for PP COE Manufacturing
· Lead and implement Division/PP COE Source of Supply strategies regionally including Technology Transfer projects
· Support and audit Responsible for product portfolio management (ie. total delivered cost)
· Lead and audit the implementation of product and equipment documentation (ie. bills of material, time standards, product prints)
· Identify and implement Cost Out opportunities utilizing quality improvement tools and methodology (ie. Lean Six Sigma)
· Partner with NTI Teams, including Corporate Process Labs and the Division Laboratory Groups to develop and implement Disruptive Technologies in Manufacturing
· Collaborate with and mentor PP COE Manufacturing sites on Process/Product Improvement projects
· Lead global cross-functional teams and implement programs involving significant manufacturing emphasis and major business impact
· Develop as a Manufacturing Technical Expert for assigned Manufacturing Technologies
· Willingness to meet global responsibilities with teleconferences and travel
· Support the quality system in the LA COE in audits, new certifications, complaint troubleshooting and other quality related activities
What we are looking for
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline from an accredited University
· 5+ Years experience in a Manufacturing site as Process, Engineering or Product Engineer
· Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt Project Leadership
· Language = Fluent in English & Spanish.
· Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers
· Demonstrated facilitation, communication, and teaching skills
· Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines/divisions
· Ability to thrive in a highly self-directed, accountable work group
· Ability to engage and influence the organization
· Experience in selecting /evaluating vendors and transferring processes/equipment
· Flexibility in job expectations with ability to react and adapt to changing conditions and requirements
· Familiar with the following technologies: web coating technologies, mixing and compounding, equipment automation, assembly, web converting
· Possess a strong customer focused mindset
· Project management and Finance skills
Note: This position requires the ability to travel 20% of the time is required.
