The Market Access represents a results:driven and ambitious role with a functional balance between meeting company objectives and the needs of people in the Central America and Caribbean Region. The access team is comprised of sales and marketing professionals who are passionate about their role in bringing MSD prescription medicines, vaccines, and other medical products to our customers in the Region.

The Market Access Director will work closely with Marketing , Medical Affairs, internal communications, Pricing, Policy, Legal and Health economics outcomes research teams at a local and LAHH Regional Level to develop and execute the strategies to support Central America and Caribbean countries access initiatives.

This role will focus on collaborating with brand marketing teams and focus on selected customer segments (e.g. Social Security, MoH, private health plans, hospitals, PAHO, UNOPS, etc.)

Primary Activities:

:Works closely with MSD internal functions ( Marketing , Medical Affairs, internal communications, Pricing, Policy, Legal and Health economics outcomes research teams at a local and LAHH Regional Level ) to develop
customer specific strategies and execute as appropriate to achieve access for patients and achieve growth.

:Develops comprehensive payer/ market access strategies and executes across relevant MSD teams, for current and future indications and must be aligned to the brand marketing objectives.

:
Inputs into development and then execute on payer value propositions, pricing strategies, channel specific strategies and branded promotional initiatives.
:
Main point responsible and accountable for resource support,
on:going planning around messaging, and communications for field facing teams
at MSD.
:Works cross:functionally within MSD, including Market Research, policy team, LA Market Access, HEOR (Health Economics and Outcome Research), compliance, legal, pricing
and others to understand build a value proposition for collaboration oncology
medicines that allows for access and reimbursement of MSD products.
:Lead a team of Market Access managers across the CenCa Region ensuring alignment of priorities and business objectives.

Qualifications
Requirements:

Education Minimum Requirement:

Required: BA/BS

Required Experience and Skills:

:
Minimum of five (5) years combined experience in pharmaceutical marketing, payer marketing and/or market access related sales.
:
Minimum of two (2) years in payer marketing or equivalent.
:
Demonstrated experience with strategy development.
:
Demonstrated expertise in project management and working with market research.
:
Excellent leadership and communication skills (written and verbal), in English and Spanish.
:
Awareness of medical, legal, and compliance process in pharmaceutical/ biotech industry.
:
Strong organizational skills.
:
Willing to travel up to 50 of the time.
:
Valid Drivers License.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
