This position will be responsible for order management and logistics operations. Responsibilities Logistics Distribution Work closely with Global Distribution team and Regional Logistics team Optimize and improve the performance of Colon Distribution Center through effective management and implementation of warehousing best practice methods and processes. Develop improved and effective standardization of performance reporting, monitoring and control processes. Leverage warehouse, distribution and transport vendors, and relevant internal functions to deliver enhanced supply chain, sales, inventory and operations (SIOP), inventory planning and sourcing processes. Continually drive quality of delivery of services, productivity of services offered, and to ensure that performance is constantly improving towards industry best in class levels. Drive elimination of waste and defects in processes, and reduce their associated costs. Drive improvements in distribution operations through the deployment of standard work and MDI (managing for daily improvement) Create, develop, implement, and drive year over year productivity of 5% Works closely with district and territory Logistics SBU leaders and Regional Logistics Manager to ensure optimal transportation planning, scheduling and execution. Coordinate with regional Logistics Managers and Corporate Logistics in identifying and providing ocean container requirements for global ports into and out of Panama Maintain inventory levels, meeting rotations and customer service percentages. Other activities may be assigned by the management team Order Management Monitors the order management process and identifies process improvement opportunities to drive accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Collaborates with sales on contract terms and order processing to minimize errors and maximize accuracy and on time delivery. Interacts frequently with sales support operations employees to ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood. Manage team of 6 International Logistics Coordinators in daily management of customer (internal and external) orders Coordinate with Thermo King Dealers Network in support order management through their use of Oracle IStore Direct owner of the order fulfilling process up to the transition point to Customer Service or business representatives: receives, verifies and processes internal orders includes aftermarket and equipment; follows up on manufacturing, shipping and invoicing schedule and issues reports to maintain customers informed. Also controls for proper delivery of documentation. Responsible to coordinate with Logistics area to obtain quotes for logistics services costs (freight, insurance, etc.) for orders coming in Europe, United States and Asia Other administrative duties related to maintaining sales orders processes properly updated, controlling quality of the order entering processes, delivering standard reports to internal customers, maintaining files updated and ensuring LOA requirements are followed Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, distribution, business, engineering, or finance Advanced degree in business, engineering, operations or related highly preferred 10+ years’ experience logistics, distribution, order management and supply chain areas. Strong project management and communication skills. Clear understanding of distribution concepts, material handling, and process flows and cycle counting. Previous experience in negotiation and contract management required Familiarity with strategy and goal deployment models, root cause analysis and countermeasure tools preferred Knowledge of logistics procurement, transportation management, distribution management, 3PL commercial management, warehouse and logistics modeling, compliance execution, and budgetary and expense analysis Working knowledge of Oracle R12 Advanced command of written and spoken English. Competencies: High energy and initiative; customer service focused. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge A3 methodology , Lean culture and problem solving- Ability to lead and motivate teams.
