The Role
The Patent Agent is part of the Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) global legal organization and is responsible for the preparation and prosecution of patents, including freedom to operate clearances. This role is also responsible for the drafting, negotiation and execution of patent and intellectual property-related agreement

Skills & Experience
Masters Degree or local equivalent Minimum Years of Experience: 2 - 5 years
Availability to travel: 5% of the time.
Fully Bilingual: English and Spanish
Licenses or Certifications: Registered with United States Patent & Trademark Office
2-5 years of experience with patent preparation and prosecution at reputable law firm and/or legal department of a multi-national company required ·
U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration required ·
Masters degree or PhD in chemical or mechanical engineering preferred ·
Cosmetic, OTC and/or consumer products industry experience preferred ·
Ability to communicate effectively, exercise good judgment in decision making, understand and synthesize complex issues, and support the execution of business strategy ·
Strong written communication skills
