Job PurposeThe main purpose of the internship is to support the PMER unit in finalizing key products for the period between August and October 2019, that support the overall organization’s compliance with planning, monitoring and reporting standards. The intern will support the PMER team to finalize key products relevant for the period in line with the organization’s requirements.
Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop a mapping of active IFRC programmatic interventions and other key information such as geographical presence, key data from the Federation Data Bank, etc.Support the monitoring of key indicators related to operationsDesign of Emergency’s profiles based on historic data from the organization.Support the editing and quality control of emergency operations and programmatic narrative reports.Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager
EducationDegree level (or equivalent qualification) in Economics, Statistics, International relationships or in Disaster Management, International Development, or similar related to humanitarian assistance or another relevant subject (preferred)
ExperienceResearch, information management, structuring of data, report writingKnowledge of humanitarian assistance and the IFRC / RCRC movement/ (preferred)
Knowledge, skills and languagesKnowledge of sectors that link with disaster response (i.e. relief, food security, disaster risk reduction, etc.);Flexible and adaptable to work effectively in diverse cultural settings;Analytical and strategic thinking;Excellent networking and relationship building skills;Excellent oral and written communications skills;English and Spanish

Interns are not entitled to a salary or benefits from the Federation;
Federation will provide the intern with a daily allowance, which will serve to cover the cost of meals and other related expenses;
Interns are not eligible for payment of overtime;
Interns are solely responsible for making their own logistical arrangements (visa, travel, accommodation, insurance, etc.) as well as for their cost prior to starting the internship;
The IFRC accepts no responsibility to provide medical insurance, or for costs arising from accidents and illness incurred during the internship. Interns are required to provide a copy of their health and accident insurance certification;
This internship is open to local and international applicants who are currently-enrolled in a university or equivalent level or have graduated recently (normally within 1 year from the date of hiring) in an area that is compatible with the above description
