The Planning & Parts Manager is responsible to implement and coordinate all planning and parts related activities throughout the company. He/She implements planning strategies to ensure the timely availability of parts and components as per requirements from the customer and/or the reman workshop. Further, he/she is responsible for the warehouse and the logistics operation. He/She will work with a team dedicated to this task with the ultimate objective of achieving highest customer satisfaction with Liebherr.Core responsibilities
Implement parts and planning processes as per Liebherr Mining standards.
Continuously train and develop the skills of the team.
Manage all planning activities between parts planner, maintenance planner and reman planner.
Plan and schedule major component pool and parts stock in timely manner to coincide with the requirements (on site and reman workshop).
Define optimum stock levels and restock if required considering the lead times of the factories.
Fulfill all required MIN KPI's related to Parts Business.
Identify parts and components with low or no rotation and suggest corrective actions
Manage all parts sales issues and business development opportunities with customer and/or mine staff including discussion and fixing of major component change out schedules.
Manage all parts administration issues, including communication with factories.
Warehouse management: storage, inventory checks, warehouse equipment and optimization.
Manage customs and logistics processes, detect and implement improvements.Technical Skills & Experience
As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration or similar.
Several years (+10 years) of general experience and at least 5 years' experience in parts and planning business for heavy-duty equipment in leadership roles.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Excellent knowledge of administration for parts procurement, storage and sales process.
Excellent knowledge of material resource planning (MRP) and inventory control in order to develop strategies that improve operational efficiency and planning accuracy of component remanufacture and repair activities.
Good understanding of the country's administrative organization and requirements.
Good abilities in discussions with customers on sales and planning future requirements.
Well able to lead and control a team for the Planning & Parts Business.
Well experienced with transport and logistics and warehouse administration.
Good knowledge and experience with customs import/export of parts from/to Europe and US.
Excellent knowledge in ERP/CMMS systems (SAP, Baan, Oracle, Lisa2, SMS, or other).
Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Deep knowledge with PowerBI and Pivot tables.
A technical background is a plus.
Strong organizational skills.
Dynamism and autonomy.
Analytical interpretation and advanced problem-solving abilities.Our Offer
