Receives specifications from the requesting areas and performs competitive bidding. Works with suppliers to ensure cost reduction and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
Obtains quotations, examines bids and proceeds according to established Procurement procedures. Provides input on issues within the area of expertise and assists department leadership in implementing strategies.
Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving processes and objectives through daily actions.
Coordinates tactical Procurement which includes purchase requisition and purchase order processing in SAP, communication with internal stakeholders, support in suppliers selection and evaluation, support of global/regional/local projects and strategies, and contract management.
Responsible for requesting new materials and vendor creation and informing the internal stakeholders
Responsible for supplier relationship management (SRM). Identifies, realizes and documents savings. Tracks, analyzes, maintains and monitors data in relations to supplier information and other data that assists in improving supplier performance. Maintains supplier files with bidding information, bid exemptions and other supplier reviews. Creates and manages purchasing reports as required.

RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Finance or 2 years’ experience in supply chain and/or procurement2 years working experience in the field of procurement or equivalentFully bilingual English – SpanishKnowledge of SAP R/3 is a plus
