The Account Country Lead serves as a business partner for a country to deliver a strategic approach to the management of the organization's book of travel, payment solutions, meetings and congress business consistent with SSES's (Strategic Sourcing and Enterprise Services) approach to the Global Program.
The Account Country Lead aligned with the SSES Cluster Lead/SSES Operations Manager contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of organizational strategies, policies, and practices to ensure departmental effectiveness and efficiency in support of our business and internal client goals and priorities.
The Account Country Lead understands the inner workings of the broader SSES organization, including Travel and Card payment strategies and provides solutions to its respective Countries that are rooted in customer service to drive efficiency and leverage company assets, based on industry trends and best practices knowledge. This position will need to partner with COE Procurement closely in order to develop and execute SSES strategies :"to as needed".
The Account Country Lead will need to identify business needs in their counties by analyzing business trends and working with suppliers to execute against corporate strategies. The position will also interact with senior stakeholders at a country level (i.e. Managing Director, Divisional Leaders, Finance, etc.).
Main Activities
Execute MSD Meetings, Travel Services and Payment Solutions Strategy for the country:
:Top internal client strategy
:Engage business to understand business needs and advocate
:Challenge requirements as necessary
:Forecasting, managing and tracking of all meetings and travel data
Stakeholder Management
:Facilitate relationships between internal clients and travel, card and meeting suppliers.
Manage at an Account Country Lead Travel, Meetings and Card Programs:
:Serves as Commodity escalation point of contact and escalate as needed service issues.
:Uphold strong knowledge of compliance policies both internally and externally in the marketplace and ensure all services delivered are in adherence.
:Act as an evaluation body to ensure supplier adheres to policies and procedures for the general operation of compliance to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct by MSD employees and non:employees.
:Support suppliers in conducting education sessions with stakeholders and operations team to encourage development, alignment and involvement.
:Drive the delivery of best:in:class meeting planning and travel services that are cost effective and deliver value to MSD.
:Ensure business review meetings with agencies.
:Local Travel, Meetings and Card policy point of contact.
:SLA, SOPs and KPI development, monitoring and intervention.
Programs continuous improvement:
:Continuous improvement on operational processes.
:Embrace and champion change, foster innovation, focus on the customer, demonstrate courage and collaborate across all divisions.
:Conduct review meetings with suppliers to ensure strategic objective is being met and any internal feedback is addressed.
:Data analytics and improvement plan.
