Job description: Purpose Supervisor role is responsible for Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities of the warehouse. Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse safety and productivity. Key Accountabilities and Challenges · Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama. Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the process plant control room. · Act as a champion for safety in his team. Teach and lead by example. · Mentor, teach and develop his team members. · Supervise the reception, inspection, documentation of the materials, spare parts, equipment, and other supplies that are received and dispatched from and to the warehouse. · Ensure that the merchandise entering the warehouse is registered in the computerized system of the Warehouse. · Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials. · Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory and deliveries for accuracy. · Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation. · Control, report and reduce operational costs, and ensure cost consideration taken with all decisions. · Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations. · Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds. · Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment. · Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.(especially end users) · Hosting and participating in all relevant Meetings required for the Group; · Working close with Accounts payable Team to close outstanding invoices/receipts in the system; · Coordinate a daily meeting with the Foreman of day and night shifts; · Work close with Procurement and Inventory Team to keep inventory level accurate to satisfy customers needs; · Ensure effective and timely implementation of all operational goals inclusive of Shipping functions and Inventory Management. · Develop and initiate reports having required project timelines, corporate metrics and productivity measurements. · Support with the counts of the periodic inventory when the inventory management require. · Oversee and monitor availability of stock. · Support simplification and standardization of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies. · Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to is team and to management. · Manage relationships and monitor performance of transport partners · Develop, articulate and maintain safety and warehouses process · Ensure regulatory compliance surrounding any regulation with a special focus on CONAPRED regulated goods. · Apply disciplinary warning and measures if needed. · Implement FQM Way culture in the Control Room team - "Bolder, Smarter, Driven, Together." · Perform any other duties as assigned by. Skills, Knowledge & Experience · Education Minimum level of education required when experience or competence can compensate · Conocimiento Técnico / Technical Knowledge: · Tracking budget expenses, staffing and quality management, managing processes and reporting skills. · Knowledge of Microsoft Office · Knowledge of warehouse good practices and management systems · Knowledge of any ERP system and JDE Oracle will be advantage Skills · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Strong ability to work in a "team" environment. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to maintain self-discipline within a stressful environment. · Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment · Experience · 5 to 7 yrs. of experience · Language Fluency in English is required and proficiency in Spanish highly regarded. A willingness to undertake language training desirable.
