Description
The primary purpose of this position is the execution of Store Design projects and Visual Merchandising initiatives for Latin America Distributors Markets. To be a key team member for global brand standards, retail environments and product presentation.
This individual will be responsible for the project management of the partner’s counters throughout LDM. His/her responsibilities include proper execution of project management procedures and construction administration. Oversight of all related costs to ensure the projects meet approved capital requirements, retailer agreements and proper communication of all project related issues including schedules, business partner collaboration, approvals and contractual requirements.
This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of visual merchandising seasonal initiatives and product launches, ensuring consistency and high standards that are representative of the brands image throughout all environments and for all LDM’s points of sales.
KEY RESPONSABILITES
Coordinator role with comprehensive oversight of project management daily activities as it relates to the following key areas:
Ensure that all projects are addressed and responded to in a timely manner and that all necessary communications with brand managers and distributors, are handled in a proactive and professional manner.
Ensure that clear and accurate reporting of active, pending and completed projects is maintained and understood with in the team and that the brand is kept abreast of their related projects on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate with the Brands to ensure that approved designs are submitted to the Architect/Manufacturer for the preparation of construction documents on a timely basis.
Ensure that design, construction documents and shop drawings meet all corporate requirements, and where possible, share best practices across brands.
Prepare preliminary cost estimates and construction schedules.
Assure the engineered integrity of products manufactured.
Oversee and ensure the accurate production of bid/construction sets and the documents are completed in a timely manner.
Ensure that all information necessary to prepare and distribute the Project Documents (PRF, CD sets, shop drawings) has been assimilated and that the documents are accurately approved and on time.
Direct the evaluation and qualification of all bids and proposals through the consulting architect and or project team.
Place shopping carts in SAP to purchase fixtures, chairs, VM tools, displayers, printing materials, or any necessary items for the installation of the counters/stores.
Keep tracking of CAPEX and OPEX expenses and follow up vendor’s payments.
Ensure that Estee Lauder Companies are receiving quality, service and fair pricing.
Ensure that the construction of each project maintains Estee Lauder Companies best interests and best management of its assets.
Lead bid negotiations and insure that services, contractors, suppliers and vendors afford Estee Lauder Companies the best value, quality and economy.
Award and process contracts for vendors. Ensure that they are timely, correct and executed.
Coordinate all necessary approvals, permits and documents to insure a professional and smooth running project
VISUAL MERCHANDISIGN KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategize with VMSD Manager and Brand Managers to develop VM initiatives that address market business needs and enhance consumer experience.
Keep aligned with VMSD Manager and Brand Managers from different Brands to keep visualization of Marketing calendars and initiatives/launches.
Ensure that all VM initiatives, updates and VM tools be addressed in a timely manner.
Work with VMSD Manager, Brand Managers and Marketing teams to determine when to participate in Enhanced Merchandising programs and which stores it can work in. This also includes creating renders for each store/counters participating, to determine placement.
Work in team with VMSD Manager and Marketing Managers in proactive way to be aligned and guarantee that all VM tools are set accordingly the brands necessities during new doors openings and renovations.
Place VM orders to Lachen/Oevel and follow up them to guarantee the tools arrival on time and meet on counter dates.
Revise and confirm the VM tools proposed for new and existing doors meet the counter/store necessities.
Develop new door merchandising layouts and work with Store Design on merchandising schematics for all locations.
Oversee sourcing, production and execution of new VM initiatives and collateral, including guideline books, in-store visuals, pricing and window programs.
Ensure that the LDM store database is always up to date with most recent floor plans / elevations, store photos, customized elements orders, etc.
Maintain consistently high visual standards through regular store visits and recap documents.
Assist with new store openings, punch list and furniture quality supervision.
Assist with maintenance surveys and counters/store maintenance programs.
Assist with the production of renderings of various visual projects when necessary.
Customize Merchandising Schematics and Global Merchandising Guidelines for LDM region.
Source vendors, collate quantities and assist in the production and implementation of LDM collateral and light boxes (at counter).
Assist on the quality control of all-collateral printed in the LDM market.
Follow up VM offerings and place orders of VM tools in IMW. Activate participate in VM global forecast.
Keep tracking of VM inventory for all counters.
Manage a VM&SD budget and provide input to P&L planning and quote counters/stores maintenance initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Education level: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Architecture, Industrial Design or similar
Minimum Years of Experience: 3-4 years total experience including 3 years of retail merchandising, industrial design, interior design, architecture, store planning/design, graphic design, or related field
% Travel Time :50%
Required Language Proficiency : Written and spoken English & Spanish fluency.
Licenses or Certifications:
Degree required in Architecture, Interior Design or related field required. Project management and/or Visual Merchandising certification in addition a plus.
3-4 Years Retail Store Design & Visual Merchandising Experience
Strong knowledge of materials, display and furniture construction.
Understanding of current fashion/retail trends.
Proactive, organized and detail oriented.
Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks and varied personalities.
Excellent analytical and communication skills along with exceptional computer literacy.
Superior customer service oriented abilities to meet the needs of various in-house and external business partners.
Demonstrated project management skills and experience leading project implementations.
Travel of up to 50%- 70% required.
Position based in Panamá City.
Software skills: AutoCAD/ Adobe suite (Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop) / Microsoft Office / 3d software a plus
Ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines
Superior organizational and prioritization skills
Understanding of current Latin America fashion/ retail trends
