Support & oversee the accounting operations of Panama Central Finance Team, approximately 20 people - responsible for team functions of payments, accounts payable, credit cards, balance sheet, intercompany, bank requisitions, general ledger, reporting, maintain chart of accounts, payroll loyalty program accounting. This team is led by a Director level position of Corporate Controller
Support & oversee global treasury function let by a Director level position of Treasurer
Support & oversee global Financial Planning and Analysis function let by a Director level position of FP&;A
Work closely with Operations Finance team to deliver accurate and timely Financial Reports for Locations
Work closely with all Corporate Overhead department managers to deliver accurate and timely Financial Reports for Corporate Offices
Stakeholder management during interactions with location accounting teams in 16 countries on three continents
Strive for continuous improvement in all business processes across the finance functionInterface with other departments in the organisation to deliver ad hoc reporting requirements
What you need for the rolePrevious relevant, recent experience as a Corporate Controller in a hospitality company
CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
Fluently bilingual in Spanish and English – both verbal and written to Business level standard
Proven track record of managing large teams well
Excellent understanding of corporate procedures and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, etc.) and ability to work with a wider team to identify areas of improvement as well as organise execution
Excellent knowledge of accounting (accounts payable/general ledger, financial chart of accounts, etc.)
Experience of Oracle and Hyperion a bonus
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Must have strong work ethics
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced andhigh volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
