Job Title Warehousing and Distribution Manager Job Description In this role, you have the opportunity to
Establish and coordinate the operational warehouse and physical distribution activities for our distribution centers in North America.
You are responsible for
Leading the warehouse and physical distribution support team.
Establishing a distribution infrastructure plan that meets short and medium term developments.
Implementing concepts and tools of QIS (meeting customer requirements, cost of ownership, cost of quality, defect prevention, responsibility for own work and zero defects).
Discovering new leverage opportunities and business models.
Managing relationships with clients, suppliers and demand side at Hub.
Managing top-level executive relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Ensuring sufficient warehouse and transportation capacity based on forecasted sales volumes.
Managing deliveries (and product flow) to and from the Distribution Center (DC) within budget and at or above agreed service levels.
Supporting the resolution of exception flows: claims management (inbound/outbound), reverse logistics.
Creating a working environment that continuously improves the Health and Safety of workers, including identification and management of occupational risk, provision of information and training, review of performance and provision of sufficient resources to maintain an effective H&S program.
Monitoring and controlling the warehouse and physical distribution activities of a distribution center as well as liaising with related functions in the commercial, supply chain or IT organizations to improve the performance.
Project management of improvement projects/process harmonization.
You are a part of
The Global Business Support (GBS) Team reporting into the GBS LATAM Operations Leader.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Masters or Bachelor degree in relevant field.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse management, transport management, supply chain management leading role or similar.
Proven leadership skills and experience (people manager).
Knowledge of warehousing and distribution KPIs.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
Experience in process implementation, improvement initiatives and projects.
Continuous improvement knowledge is required. LEAN knowledge is a plus.
SAP knowledge is required.
Advanced English is required.
