We are looking for an HSE Supervisor. The HSE Supervisor will work closely with regional management, training, and HR to oversee employee/customer work-site safety and the environment. A vital component of this role will be to ensure processes and individuals are operating within compliance of regulations.
The purpose for the HSE Supervisor role includes the following:
·Identification of hazardous and risk assessments.
·Record and report incident records.
·Investigate and analyze risks and incidents with prevention and control methods
·Organize training courses to employee
·Responsible to prepare internal and external audits.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
·Responsible for Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities in all assigned areas of responsibility.
·Supports implementation and sustainability of company’s HSE Management System.
·Assures Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance with local laws, company policies, and client requirements.
·Performs formal hazard assessments for all jobs, tasks, facilities, and worksites in assigned areas of responsibility.
·Leads by example and encourages a culture of safety at all times.
·Conducts HSE audits, inspections, and assessments in assigned areas of responsibility.
·Leads incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the corrective action process.
·Analyzes HSE statistical data and produces required reports.
Essential:
·Working knowledge of OSHA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
·Ability to work safely within the requirements of the company HSE Management System.
·Reliable self-starter who is able to prioritize workload and efficiently manage their time with minimal oversight.
·Ability to professionally represent the HSE department with internal and external stakeholders.
·Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
·Able to meet strict deadline requirements and work under pressure.
·Detail-oriented, consistent, and accurate.
·Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (required to speak to large groups).
·Ability to problem solve.
·Excellent organizational skills.
·Ability to collaborate with others and be part of an effective team.
·High level of proficiency with Windows Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
·Experience as an instructor for training purposes.
Preferred:
·Bilingual – Spanish and English.
·Basic understanding of distribution processes.
·Travel approximately 25%.
Experience and Education
·Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or equivalent preferred in Engineering or a related technical or scientific field required.
·Certification in OSHA or equivalent program preferred.
·5 years of distribution industry or related field experience.
