Responsibilities:
·Excellent internal and external customer service are required to be displayed at all times
·Promote the values of the company by example at all times and guide staff in adopting these values as a way of operating
·Assist with and co-ordinate jobs postings
·Assist management in the development and/or updating of job descriptions
·Proactively source and maintain a database of qualified candidates
·Assist with the evaluation of candidates during the recruitment process through resume screening, phone/personal interviews, reference checking, testing, etc.
·Assist with interviewing and providing candidate recommendations
·Ensure proper recruitment documentation is completed and that appropriate signatures have been acquired
·Ensure that successful candidates for each internal unionized position posted are correctly selected in accordance with the collective agreement and/or company policy and procedures
·Perform any administrative duties related to the internal and external recruiting process for all departments as required
OTHER DUTIES:
·Assist with production of the Corporate Communication Tool
·Assist Employee Relations in daily attendance management as required
·Answer the incoming inquiries in person and on the phone
·Perform other related duties as assigned and assist Human Resources staff in other functional areas during periods of overload
Qualifications:
·Studies in Human Resources or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
·Human Resources experience in recruiting or training
·Proficient in Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, Word, Excel
·Some experience in interviewing and selection
·Superior verbal and written communication skills
·Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism a must
·Ability to work with staff at all levels
·Strong interpersonal, communication and excellent customer service skills
·Strong analytical ability and attention to detail a must
·Excellent multitasking, time management, organizational skills and must be able to prioritize responsibilities
·Basic knowledge of relevant legislation (i.e. Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Act, Labor Relations Act, Health & Safety regulations, etc.)
