Procurement Manager

We are looking for an experiencedProcurement Managerwith

At least 7 years of relevant work experience in the areas of: purchasing, procurement, supply, procurement, supply chain.
University Degree in Engineering,Supply Chain, Business Administration, or comparable qualifications. Optional: Master degree or specialized education
Required Skills: Strong team player with good listening & problem solving skills, to deliver on end-user requirements, within time & budgetary constraints
Strong leadership skills. Results oriented with strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills will be essential, also the ability to work collaboratively with key business stakeholders
Bilingual: proficient in Spanish & English
Computer Skills: Complete Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT), ERP (Preferably: OracleConsidered: SAP, Maximo, or MP2

Purpose of Function (Mission)

Plan, direct and control the key activities of the purchasing department; keep your team focused and motivated for the proper achievement of your goals.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Drive greater cost efficiency through management of existing suppliers, sourcing of new suppliers & negotiation/procurement strategies (for both Operational & Project-specific requirements)
Contribute to an effective Contract management process to maximize value & reduce risk exposure over the entire duration; while ensuring compliance with policies & procedures
Manage & develop a team of Procurement Analyst & Procurement Assistants
Monitoring key indicators for departmental performance
Provide constant support to the purchasing team for proper professional development
Review and update of the department's procedures manual
Negotiation with key suppliers
Management of the supplier evaluation process
Approval of purchase orders within your level
Interaction with different user departments to provide better internal service
Review of CAPEX projects at the level of different internal users
Consider best market practices for proper adaptation and implementation
Coordination of team meetings to follow up activities and tasks
