Location: Panama Reports to: CFS Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform credit investigations including D&B reports, trade and bank references, and payment behaviors as well as utilizing trade group networking resources to assess and determine appropriate credit limits for new and existing accounts.
Develop and maintain effective credit, collection, chargeback, and accounts receivable cash application procedures aligned with corporate guardrails, including but not limited to Credit Analysis, Maintenance of collections statistics, research and resolution of all chargebacks, KPIs monitoring, etc.
Prepare reports and dashboards to attend weekly/monthly/quarterly credit and close meetings to review portfolio status and recommend corrective action such as Net Sales Reports, Aging Reports, Insured Buyers Report, DSO & Arrears Calculation, High Risk Accounts Watchlist, Top Customers, etc.
A/R, Credit and Cash Application teammates in the day-to-day operational activities.
Credit Management: Review once a year all the customer with credit (Financial Statement, Third Party investigation and Sales Plan) and twice a year all the customer with Medium/High risk.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing process is executed to comply with statutory requirements.
Liaise with our Corporate Risk Management team to seek coverage for our accounts.
Follow through on action items assigned at credit meetings and work with appropriate teams to ensure assigned actions are resolved on a timely basis.
Approval functions include refund requests, bad debt, write offs, account adjustment, and agency placements.
Maintain acceptable turn-around time on functions handled by the CFS team (A/R Management, collections, billing, cash applications, chargeback analysis, investigations and resolution, new accounts processes, etc.)
Support internal/external audits.
Other duties and special projects assigned as needed.
Technical Attributes of Ideal Candidate: include but are not limited to the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferable), Administration, Finance or Economics.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Credit and Collections Department in sizeable multinational company.
Strong knowledge of D&B reporting, Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, and bill of exchange.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and interact effectively in a team environment with all levels of management, operations and internal/external customers.
Excellent analytical and communicational (written & verbal) skills.
Ability to maintain high level of detail and accuracy.
Hands-on experience using ERP systems (SAP, B1, others).
Advanced Excel skills.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
