The Data Program Consultant is a corporate resource who works tightly with our sales organizations. They are the go-to individual for all install-base queries. Tech Refresh and Competitive Displacement sales motions (the selling of new hardware and software to replace existing infrastructure) rely heavily on the engagement of the DPC.
For both sales motions, the DPC will use tools like SalesForce.com, Tableau, and Excel aggressively, as well as in-house-developed asset analysis tools. These tools help the DPC to discover, share, and track the assets involved. Working knowledge of SalesForce.com and Tableau are a definite plus. Excel-based skills are required.
The DPC is tightly woven into the sale teams they cover. They need to have a strong and engaging personality, with a willingness to reach out to people they have never contacted before.
DPCs operate with a good deal of autonomy, and must be excellent at managing their own time. Because of the number of reps each DPC covers, organization is also a key requirement. Must be a confident self-starter who has experience in supporting a broadly distributed sales organization.Innovative projects that deliver cutting edge results do not run themselves. Project and Program Management within Business Support ensure projects run seamlessly, from start to finish. Our team manages projects or leads others managing projects — ensuring cross-functional teams work collaboratively and effectively. We oversee initial plans, set budgets, track project activities and communicate milestones to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Extract lists of target storage array assets using industry-standard and custom tools
Share target assets with sales reps and sales management
Link assets in SFDC to existing opportunities, or create net-new opportunities for reps
Register opportunities for sales incentives
Enable sales teams to leverage tools
Raise awareness of the program through participation in one-on-one sales interactions, Quarterly Business Reviews, DM meetings, etc.
Essential Requirements
Must be bi-lingual in Spanish and English
BS in Business or similar degree
Strong Excel skills
Experience in supporting a distributed field sales organization
Strong social skills
Team player who is willing to learn new things and can live with a degree of uncertainty
