Job Overview The Senior RAN Solutions Architect is responsible for pre-sales technical engagements by preparing and presenting customer focused Product and Technical presentations, preparing Bill of Materials (BoM), Statements of Compliance (SoC), Statement of Work (SoW) for customer professional services, RFx responses, Deployment and Testing at customer labs for Proof of Concepts (PoC) and Field Trials (FTs). Understand customer needs to clearly define solution and product requirements for Open RAN. Working with R&D team and managing customer relationships on an ongoing basis. This will require strong capabilities to interact and influence senior technical staff and management within Radisys’ telecommunications operator customers. Candidates with RAN Systems Engineering experience are highly desirable. Strong knowledge in telecommunications domain
- Wireless, Core Networks, and OSS/BSS for transformational RAN solutions that are disaggregated, virtualized, and based on open source software. Strong interpersonal skills, proven track record of synthesizing and interpreting complex issues into solutions and ability to effectively work with multiple audiences and levels across organizations are required. Excellent communication skills (good command over written, verbal, non-verbal skills). Ability to work independently with ambiguity. Works well in a team and as an individual contributor with globally distributed teams. Qualifications / Technical Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in Telecommunications working for Wireless OEMs (Solutions and Systems Engineering) and/or Operators (CTO, Planning and Engineering groups) Experience and/or “hands on” working knowledge in the following areas: Wireless: O-RAN Working Groups and the challenges associated with interoperability Lower Layer Split (LLS) 7.2x Next Gen Fronthaul Interface (NGFI) CPRI
