About the role: We are seeking a VACD Head who will own the entire Market Access Strategy (private & public) in Central America and The Caribbean.This position should combine efforts into 3 key business dimensions: a) Public Business: 360 Access Strategy (beyond reimbursement); b) Private Business: Commercial strategy across key insurance companies & direct healthcare provider institutions & trade management; c) Distributor management.Key Responsibilities:• Enterprise leadership to drive the spirit of "ONE Team" across all functions through a way of inspiration (& servant approach). Develop a cluster cultural transformation around "Access First Mindset" ensuring focus, prioritization, sense of urgency along the 360 Novartis access strategy.• Own the transformation of innovative access & partnership models.• Effectively strengthen the health ecosystem for access to innovative medicines ensuring the entire team have a 360 approach in the short, medium & long term.• Ensure Novartis become a key player into the healthcare area leveraging on internal & alliances synergies through a very agile & innovative approach.• Lead cross functional approach & improve harmonies in each country based on its own reality / potential.• Guide & engage the cross functional team to a vision of healthcare ecosystem strengthening process in where Novartis can rapidly identify external opportunities to co-create solutions with key stakeholders to become a partner of choice in crafting ways to improve & introduce efficiencies in healthcare management.• Prepare the team to develop a cross functional strong value narrative included in a robust value dossier that demonstrate how Novartis products will meet unmet medical needs & customer evidence needs. Ensure the team can position & differentiate the multidimensional value (clinical, economic, for society, for patients. for the health system, ethical…) of Novartis portfolio with the aim to achieve balanced access for all eligible patients in HCS.• Establish and cultivate relationships with key external influencers and decision makers to improve access to Innovative Medicines products (focusing on priority brands and priority pipeline products/diseases.
