We collaborate with our business partners around the world to deliver standardized, integrated technology products and services to create tangible business value.To strengthen our LATAM IT Team, we are looking for a Senior Technology Specialist located in Panama City to complete our Analytics, Data and Integration (ADI) Department. This position will be integrated in the Analytics Tools and Platforms (AT&P) LATAM Team, which covers the whole LATAM region, including Mexico, Central America, Caribbean Islands and South America. However, this specific position will predominantly support a group of proxy markets located in Central America and Caribbean Islands.In this position, you will be accountable for bringing expertise and knowledge to the product or platform team. The Technology Specialist promotes optimal use of technology to support the cost-effective delivery of business requirements within their area of expertise. Working at the leading edge of IS/IT for the product or platform, the Technology Specialist collaborates in preliminary studies, helping to set the technological direction with the product or platform manager. You will support delivery and sustain of the most complex applications and business capabilities and may be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to development or support within your area of specialty.
A day in the life of...
Provide specialist guidance and support to contribute to the evolution of the portfolio of Analytics Tools & Platforms s to meet the needs of the business for both IT top-down consumer grade applications, known as Production Line 3 (PL3) as well as business self-service, known as Production Line 4 (PL4).
Provide technical support to the ADI Functional Relationship Manager (FRM) for his markets in scope in all requirements that depend on Analytics Tools and Platforms
Supports the technical activities (design, build, testing) in significant or complex innovation initiatives that require specialized support
Performs preliminary studies, general systems specifications and detailed systems specifications
Ensures solution operational readiness: defines global procedures and processes for operations in the area of expertise
Ensures IS/IT Customer and Consumer requirements are met and service quality maintained when introducing new products. Considers the cost effectiveness of proposed solutions
Assists others in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommends smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely) solutions
What will make you successful
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably computer science or similar.
3+ years of experience in Analytics Tools and Platforms, preferably with expertise in technologies such as Microsoft Power BI, SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence suite (Design Studio, Web Intelligence, Dashboards), SAP BW HANA, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Reporting technologies. Predictive and Machine Learning technologies and coding skills in Javascript, R or Python offer a distinct advantage.
Proven track record of delivering IS/IT projects/programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent understanding of business needs and interdependencies
Good understanding of system engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards
Senior stakeholder and Project management exposure
Understanding of various software development methodologies (e.g. agile, waterfall, design thinking)
Above-average organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at the same time
Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization with excellent spoken and written Spanish and English
